Satlyt Raises Pre-Seed Funding, Partners with Antler VC & XSLA Ventures, and Expands Team

We are thrilled to announce that Satlyt has successfully raised pre-seed funding from a distinguished group of investors, including Antler VC and XSLA Ventures, and a number of amazing Angel Investors including Capetal Partners, UKX Ventures, and others.

Antler VC has believed in Satlyt since well before its inception, and we are deeply thankful to work with them. As part of Antler’s showcase, we’ve had the privilege of learning from and collaborating with their network of innovators and investors, which has been instrumental in shaping Satlyt’s journey.

Another particularly exciting milestone is that XSLA Ventures has made Satlyt their first-ever investment. XSLA Ventures specializes in investing in founders from Tesla and SpaceX—a distinction for Satlyt, given that our founder is an alumnus of both.

To all our investors: We are deeply grateful for your support and trust. As we continue to grow, we are always open to advice and feedback from new investors to ensure Satlyt’s continued success. Your insights are invaluable as we move forward.

Meet Team and Advisors

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Gloire Rubambiza as our Head of Edge Computing, along with Junn Wangari and Jacob Ndung'u, who have graduated from interns to full time System Engineers on the team! Their expertise in cloud infrastructure and software systems will be instrumental in building out Satlyt’s product offerings.

We are also fortunate to have Prof. Thomas Afullo (a leading figure in electrical engineering research) and Oliver Muoto (tech visionary and Principal at 615 VC) joining us as special advisors. Their combined insights will help steer Satlyt toward creating a more open and interconnected space ecosystem. They are supporting Satlyt through sweat equity, providing invaluable guidance as we build a more open and interconnected space ecosystem.

Satlyt: The Android to Starlink’s iPhone

At Satlyt, we position ourselves as the Android to SpaceX’s Starlink iPhone. While Starlink builds a vertically integrated ecosystem, Satlyt is focused on creating an open, software-first platform that any satellite operator can leverage. We believe this approach is critical for building a more accessible and flexible space infrastructure, allowing for broader innovation and collaboration across the space ecosystem.

New Website

We are excited to unveil Satlyt’s new website. A special thank you goes to Etienne Koch, Rama's best friend from high school, for designing our website. His work has been instrumental in shaping the online presence that reflects our bold vision for space infrastructure. Explore the site to learn more about our journey, product, and partnerships.

Satellite Operators: Let’s Collaborate

We are inviting satellite operators to join us in transforming the future of space computing. If you’re a satellite operator interested in collaborating with Satlyt, please fill out the form on our new website to get in touch. We believe that through collaboration, we can drive innovation that benefits the entire space ecosystem.

Open Role: Join Our Growing Team

As we continue to grow, Satlyt is expanding our team. We have open positions for product managers, systems engineers, and business developers, and we encourage all in the space industry who are passionate about space innovation and edge computing to apply. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team that will shape the future of space infrastructure.

Together, we are building the future of space infrastructure through edge computing—one satellite at a time.
